Unreal Engine and the music artist Flume collaborated on an Augmented Reality festival experience. Flume had a performance at the popular American festival ‘Coachella’. The performance could also be seen online on YouTube.
During the livestream on Coachella’s YouTube channel, viewers were surprised by flying 3D leaves and a large parrot that appeared from behind the stage. This online experience lasted a few minutes and people who were physically at the festival could not see it.
The post of the AR experience on Coachella’s Instagram account already has over 200.000 and on YouTube it has over 15.000 views. AR during a live stream of a festival should be the future according articles in order to make it more entertaining for the online viewers.
