Rio Tinto has supported the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) for over 30 years. In order to create an outstanding fundraising campaign, Rio Tinto collaborated with Marcel Sydney.
Marcel Sydney made the Australian 20$ bill come to life through WebAR. There is no need to download an app, just open the weblink, take the bill from your wallet and scan it. John Flynn, the founder of the RFDS, will briefly explain the history of RFDS. All elements on the bill start to come alive as he continues to talk.
For example, the camel starts walking away when Flynn elaborates on how inconvenient rescuing people on camels was. Next the evolution of airplanes is shown and you see how much faster the new aircrafts are through an animation.
Using WebAR the Agency made sure anyone can enjoy the experience and easily donate, as long as you have a 20 dollar bill.
