EHL is the German market leader in the production of concrete components for gardening and landscaping. They attach particular importance to environmentally friendly production, from the sustainable use of raw materials to the use of the latest production processes and CO2 optimized delivery.
One of the most prominent challenges in the communication with customers was a missing visualization of the products in the customer’s own homes to support decision making. In order to get a good on-site impression about the possibilities, VR Owl was tasked to create an augmented reality application.
Solution
To give EHL customers an idea of what the concrete pavings, tiles and walls look like at their homes, VR Owl made a tool that allows users to visualise those products. With the augmented reality app, users can easily build a virtual paving surface or wall in their own homes. Then it is possible to walk around, test different colors and laying patterns and take screenshots of their favorite variants.
Thanks to a visual calculation, the app gives users an estimate of the size of the selected area and a corresponding retail price. After completing the configuration, it is possible to choose a dealer nearby and request a non-binding inquiry.
Result
An augmented reality application where (potential) customers can configure EHL’s products to their desire and contact a dealer.
