Question

The Concertgebouw has been enriching visitors for more than 130 years with performances by world-famous artists. Over the years, visuals have become an increasingly important aspect of the concerts. The rooms are equipped with a new, spectacular light show. The Concertgebouw wants to bring this to the visitors attention in a unique manner.

Solution

The Concertgebouw has chosen a 360 video to immerse viewers in the experience that the light show offers. Recordings of a short fragment of the show have been made with our 360 degree camera. One moment the viewer is in the dark, after which the music swells and the modern light show reveals the impressive interior.

To make the light show stand out best, the camera has been adjusted to a special light setting. This made the lights pop up perfectly and showed a clear preview of the addition that the lightning gives to concerts. The video aims to promote the new light show and to attract (new) audiences to the Concertgebouw. The video is distributed via social channels and their website for maximum reach.

Result

Visitors can already have the feeling they are inside the theater before their visit. The virtual reality experience takes visitors into the concert hall from home. Moreover, it is a trigger for potential concertgoers to attend a concert.
