Camera creator Polaroid in collaboration with Snapchat launched several augmented reality lenses. The goal was to reach the Gen Z audience with the lenses promoting the new Polaroid camera.
By scanning the dedicated Snapcode, users are transported into exotic locations, from a jungle to the North Pole. At each different location, the background and accessories, such as glasses and a hat, change. Furthermore, users can take photos through the lens to share.
In the first week of the launch, the activation already got over 78.000 engagements. Polaroid said that Snapchat was the perfect platform because of the high engagement with the Gen Z audience.
