Swigr, an Augmented Reality app for the alcoholic beverage business, has now released a Space Invaders-themed game on its app, breathing new life into the digitalized retro classic.
Customers use the Swigr app to activate the immersive experience and begin playing, fending off aliens that appear on a brand’s can or bottle using touch controls on their smartphone screen. Users also get a chance to play internationally and compete for the top spot on the scoreboard. Players are able to personalize their game by allowing them to customize their colours and icons and more.
Swigr intends to release more games later this year, confident in the market’s acceptance of augmented reality games and the global demand for businesses to improve its connection with their customers.
