“Witness a spectacle!” Harrods made an augmented reality experience for visitors to enjoy on their phones while walking past the department store’s Christmas window displays.
Visitors can start a visual christmas party and bring a Harrods christmas robot to life by scanning a QR code. The robot begins the animation by dancing to swan lake. After that, it starts freestyling in the window.
Harrods challenges visitors to take a look at the display and see which character it reveals. The associated hashtag is #TogetherHarrods.Accessed around 2000 times, the AR experience helped add a little extra festive magic to Harrods at Christmas.
