De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) | Virtual Reality
DMU is using a VR platform called ‘Bodyswaps’ to help graduates prepare for job interviews and boost their employability. The university recently received an Immersive Soft Skills Education Grant which gave them access to the Bodyswaps VR platform, which consists of a range of soft skills VR training modules.
The platform immerses graduates into real life situations where they become an interviewee sitting in front of a virtual interviewer who is relaying questions and evaluating them. The simulation allows graduates to train themselves on how to respond to interviewee questions. The words and body language of the learners are captured for assessment.
The soft-skills training modules prepare students to not only eradicate interview phobia but also to stand out during a competitive assessment and interviews.
