Snapchat launched a social AR filter in cooperation with Crypto.com. This filter is part of Crypto.com’s advertisement for the Superbowl with Lebron James.
Users explore Lebron James’ 2003 bedroom. They can move around the room and hunt for easter eggs that unlock additional mixed reality experiences that extend the Super Bowl spot. You can also download the Crypto.com app without having to leave Snapchat.
In North America, Snapchatters used Augmented Reality 2 billion times on the day of the Super Bowl. Furthermore, the Super Bowl filter was used 50% more on Snapchat than normal.
